The center of the fire looked like glowing metal, and in the fire was what looked like four living creatures. Ezekiel 5:2 NIV when the days of your siege come to an end burn a third of the hair with fire inside the city. Take a third and strike it with the sword all round the city. And scatter a third to the wind. For I will pursue them with drawn sword.           Ezekiel 14:21 NIV For this is what the Sovereign Lord says: How much worse will it be when I send against Jerusalem my four dreadful judgments - sword and famine and wild beasts and plague - to kill its men and their animals! Ezekiel 7:15 NIV Outside is the sword, inside are plague and famine; those in the country will die by the sword, and those in the city will be devoured by famine and plague.   Ezekiel’s Instructions Now you son of man, get yourself a brick, place it before you and inscribe a city on it, Jerusalem. Then lay siege against it build a siege wall, raise up a ramp, pitch camps and place battering rams against it all around. Then get yourself an iron plate and set it up as an iron wall between you and the city and set your face toward it so that it is under siege, and besiege it. This is a sign to the house of Israel. As for you, lie down on your left side and lay the iniquity of the house of Israel on it; you shall bear their iniquity for the number of days that you lie on it. For I have assigned you a number of days corresponding to the years of their iniquity, three hundred and ninety days’ thus you shall bear the iniquity of the house of Israel.

We are a nation at war. We are spending hundreds of millions of dollars on homeland defense. Since the 9/11 attack, we have been told by Vice-president Dick Cheney that another attack is coming. It is not a question of if, but only a question of when. By the time you finish reading this you will know when. Just this last New Years Eve [2003-2004] we witnessed the terror-alert raised to level 4 high-risk because the government intelligence is reporting an increased activity of internet chatter. Apparently the talk of our enemies is of a massive coordinated attack on multiple cities that will make 9/11 pale in comparison. So alarmed are those whose impossible job it is to protect us, that they had helicopters flying continuously over cities. But the attack did not come. That means the plans are still forming. These enemies are not going to go away; but they are growing stronger and gaining support. God's word, the Bible foretells of the time of the end. Many end time prophetic scriptures are being fulfilled right now. A major sudden event, called the "Day of the Lord" will soon take place. It will happen while they are saying peace and safety to people who are busy buying and selling, building and planting, and marrying and giving in marriage. Although we are told in Matt. 24 that no one knows the day or the hour, it has become clear to me that the Lord has given many clues as to when this unique disaster will happen, as well as what it is, and what you can do about it. The Lord has us on a need to know basis. If we need to know something He will tell us. You must build your understanding by adding one thing to another. It helps to use more than just one translation. In the NASV Ez 7:5 foretells of an end coming and a disaster, a unique disaster, behold it is coming. NIV Ez. 5:9 ...the Lord is coming to do what has never been done before and will never be done again, as in unique. The first chapter of Ezekiel starts telling of an immense cloud of fire infolding/engulfing itself surrounded by brilliant light coming out of the north. To understand that this is a description of a nuclear mushroom cloud, it helps to read on in ch.4:1-4, where you are instructed to take a brick and build a siege wall; put up a ramp, then get an iron plate and put it up as an iron wall between you and the city. This is no ordinary wall, but a siege wall. That implies that you are under siege or attack. Then put your face toward it and lie down on your left side for 390 days of food set aside is mandatory, for food and water will be scarce. This is a sign to the house of Israel. When it says it is a sign, you need to pay attention. And chapter 5:2 explains why — one third shall burn in the fire -- I looked, and behold, a whirlwind was coming out of the north, a great cloud with raging fire engulfing itself; and brightness was all around it and radiating out of its midst like the color of amber, out of the midst of the fire. EZEKIEL'S INSTRUCTIONS THIS IS WHAT EZEKIEL SAW EZEKIEL 4 NASV will be? - In the center of the city. Consider that 2Peter 2 tells us that the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah were burned to ashes and made an example of WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN to the UNGODLY. God's word is clearly telling us that at the time of the end, suddenly cities will be burned. That explains why Isaiah 13:10; Amos 5:18; Joel 2:1-2,3:15; Matthew 24:29 all describe the "Day of the Lord" as a day of darkness and gloom; the sun is darkened, the moon does not give its light, and the stars are removed from the sky. Burning cities are filling the skies full of smoke. Ezekiel 7 - All who survive and escape flee to the mountains- and there is baldness on their heads. Radiation exposure causes hair loss. It looks like it is adding up to one thing, but not to jump to conclusions, we read on. Ezekiel 14:21 informs us that there are four dreadful judgments - sword - famine - wild beasts and plague. ”Ezekiel 5:12-17 explains to us that these four forms of punishment will be in different places. This can be very useful information for the man who wants to be able to deal with it. Ezekiel 7:15 tells us those in the cities will be devoured by famine and plague; those in the country die by the sword. We can derive from this that the plague spoken of is not of a contagious nature, else what would prevent it from spreading throughout the land? However a city turned into rubble by a nuclear bomb will for some time remain an area to avoid for the radiation will linger and cause all who pass through to contract radiation sickness. Neither do we see famine in the country, for country folk now how to survive. The concentrations of populations in the cities will quickly deplete all food supplies and all supplies of water, just as Isaiah 3:2 describes and this will no doubt result in pillaging and plundering of the near-by countryside. There is one third perishing in the city and one third perishing in the country in Ezekiel 5:12 and they are also spoken of by Zechariah 13:8- two-thirds will be struck down and perish; yet one third who are left call on the Lord and they are "My people. We see that just like Ezekiel says in chapter 18, it is the souls who sin are the ones who will die. Amos ch.9:8 confirms that: Surely the eyes of the Sovereign Lord are on the sinful kingdom (USA). I will destroy it from the face of the earth - yet I will not totally destroy the house of Jacob. All the sinners among my people will die by the sword, all those who say, “Disaster will not over take or meet us.”
