Jeremiah 50:41 NIV “Look!” An army is coming from the North; a great nation and many kings are being stirred up from the ends of the earth.         Jeremiah 6:4,5 NIV Prepare for battle against her! Arise, let us attack at noon! But, alas, the daylight is fading, and the shadows of evening grow long. So arise, let us attack at night and destroy her fortresses!           Hosea 5:7 NKJV They have dealt treacherously with the Lord. For they have begotten pagan children. Now a new moon shall devour them and their heritage .

Ezekiel leaves us with little doubt of what is coming. He tells us it is unique, never done before - will never be done again. He tells us where it comes from in his description of the mushroom cloud in chapter 1:4. It is coming from the north. We can now look to Jeremiah ch.1:14-15 and know that the Lord told him also that from the north disaster will be poured out on all who live in the land. I am about to summon all the peoples of the northern kingdoms. Isaiah 41:25; Jeremiah 50:41 & 25:9 : 10:22; & 15:12 repeatedly tell us where. It is from the north. Not only is Russia a great northern world power who possess a nuclear arsenal, but North Korea also bears watching, with only a population of 23 million and an army of over one million. How do they get that many people in their army? Their food supply is meager. We have been giving 155,000 metric tons of assistance, but there has not been any accountability as to the distribution of it. So it has been reported the amount of assistance will be reduced to 60,000 metric tons. The assumption is anyone who is in their army is not hungry. It will become increasingly difficult to sustain the size of their existing army. Saddam was in violation of UN resolution 1441 and had committed material breaches. In an interview on TV with a retired military general, he was asked when he thought the announced attack would take place. With today's military technology, he said, the best time to attack is in the middle of the night, using night vision equipment and the cover of darkness to maintain the element of surprise. The darker the night, the better, and the darkest nights are during the phase of the new moon.
